The Office 2016 feature list on windows and mac is quite different and I do not think this really is for technical reasons. A few of the missing features I observed recently: MS Word : Digital (certificate) based document signing is not possible => use other software

On the Mac, it isn’t quite as useful, but still decently handy, especially if you’re watching the big game and trying to get some work done.
